TopherMan Fall Tour 2011(Day 5 & 6) (by TopherManTV) Tour Diary Day 5 & 6 These couple of nights were special nights. We were set to play a show Saturday and lead worship the next morning for a church called Bethesda Fellowship in Smyrna, Georgia. We met up with Phophie (the guy who’s house we were staying at) and he took us to Golden Corral which was such a blessing. A group of guys stayed over at the house pretty much the whole time. We played pool, phase 10 and all kinds of stuff, even shot at possums from the back window. Aside from all the craziness, we were pumped to see what God had in store for this place. From the first moments of this area, we knew it was going to be awesome!
God worked in many different ways at this stop in the tour. First off, while we were waiting for Phophie at a gas station a guy walked up to us asking for some help and some money. We got the chance to talk to him and pray with him, even got to give him a bible. We hope and pray for this man and whatever God has for his life. Secondly, while we were playing our show, the youth pastor walked out to his truck to get his bible and there was a random stranger sitting in his passenger seat. He opened his door and made the guy go inside the church. Long story short, the guy listened to the gospel and was moved. We hope and pray that he was completely changed and would be awakened to Christ. The next morning we lead worship and after the message two guys committed their lives to Christ! The Holy Spirit was so present and worshipful at this church!
After this great stop we got up and ate our favorite place, Steak N’ Shake. We got to fellowship with some of the people from Bethesda Fellowship and enjoy some great food. Thank you Bethesda Fellowship for having us and being so loving and hospitable.
TopherMan Fall Tour 2011( Day 4) (by TopherManTV) Today we left our awesome host home in Prattville, AL and traveled about an hour or two to our next destination (Judson College). We arrived in Marion, AL around 1 pm and decided to check in to our hotel and get a bite to eat before set-up. After eating we went back to get started unloading. We were set to play in the college’s chapel, which is on the second story of the main building at Judson. Thank God though that we had an elevator ha ha. After set-up we waited for about 2 hours before the show was set to start.
At 7 we kicked the show off with Brad speaking a bit and then we hit the stage. Funny story, in the midst of our intro, the power went out. ha ha ha. That is like the second time that has happened to us. It was a bit awkward, but brad fixed the problem and we continued the night. All together the show was completely amazing. We threw some worship songs in the set-list and that really set the mood. God for sure showed up and moved in a big way.
It was one of our smaller shows, but it sure was amazing :) We met some awesome people! After the show we grabbed some Subway with a home town friend that attends the college. It was a perfect night. All Glory to God!
TopherMan Fall Tour 2011(Day 3) (by TopherManTV) Today we headed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Prattville, AL. This officially started our Fall Tour. We will be on the road for the next month. We got started around 8:00A.M. this morning. We are not much on getting up early so this was a task for the four of us. We ended up leaving our house around 9:00A.M. headed towards Prattville. We stopped in Meridian, Mississippi for some lunch at Chik-Fil-A. Chik-Fil-A never disappoints. We made it to Prattville, around 2:00P.M.
We spent the next few hours setting up all of our equipment which is always an interesting task. It is funny because no matter how much time we spend on setting up our equipment something always manages to go wrong. Today the problem was our power amps. Fortunately we were able to fix the problem and get all set up for the show. We ended up having about 30 mins to just chill and pray before it was time to hit the stage. I love the times before a TopherMan show because it is our time to get our hearts and minds prepared to Worship the King. Tonights prayer time was awesome because it turned more into a deep bible study.
After prayer time it was time to begin the show. Brad kicked off the night with his testimony. It went well and I truly believe God is using him to be a light to teenagers everywhere. After Brad, we hit the stage. There was so much energy in the room and all the people seemed to be really enjoying the show. All in all it was a great night. First and foremost, God was glorified. It was all for Him and whatever happened was His will. After the show we went back to our host home. Our host home was at Jamie and Rachel’s house. They are both youth pastors and they combined their churches for the event. So I have to conclude by saying that God showed up and did His work. I am amazed at how God continues to bless us. My prayer is that the people on this tour will have their hearts opened and that God will be brought all Glory. Glory to God forever.
TopherMan Fall Tour 2011 (Day 2) (by TopherManTV) Tonight we drove around 3 hrs to play in Oxford, MS, at a place called The Blind Pig. We played with a great band called The Apache Relay which we recommend you check out! It was a smaller place to play but it all worked out, and we got to play about a 45 min set. It was a totally different environment than what we’re used to, but it all went great. We got to spread the gospel and love on people! After the show we talked to a guy that owns a studio in Oxford who actually encouraged us to keep spreading the gospel and doing what we’re doing! Such an awesome encounter that took us by surprise! To know that someone had the same mindset as us was refreshing! We hope and pray for the people we saw and met would come to know Christ and change! That is why we do what we do, to spread the Gospel and the love of Christ!
In between sets we went to a New York style hot dog stand and got some killer hot dogs(wish we had one of those places near Jackson)! Once we packed up, we head back home, at like 1 in the morning haha. Knowing that we had a bit of a drive ahead of us, we stopped by a gas station and stocked up on some caffeine, including Red Bull. Well that was the second stop of the tour! To God be all the Glory!
TopherMan Tour Diary (Day 1) Today, we ventured about 20 minutes from our home to play a benefit show for and organization called Love 146, which deals with the awareness of sex trafficking. The show was held at Springridge United Methodist Church in Terry, MS. We’ve never technically played in Terry before, so we were pretty stoked and skeptical at the same time! We really weren’t sure what to expect, only because we have played benefit shows before that didn’t turn out as we thought. But to our surprise there was a lot of prayer that went into the event and it was well planned out. We had a time slot set for 6:20pm but ended up playing an earlier spot which was really awesome. Another plus was that it was outside, you could really take in the beauty of God’s creation while playing. The turnout was great and everyone was so supportive.
We only played 5 songs so it was really chill and the set went great. After we played we got the opportunity to really connect with some of the people there , loved just hearing their heart’s and sharing the Gospel. I really feel God used us in big way and for that we are grateful. Overall I would have to say that it was the perfect show to start the fall tour off with. Hoping to play for our new Terry friends again in the future. Love you all!
